Preference is given to students whose families face financial difficulties that may prevent them from continuing their education. Donation may be considered where families are unable to comfortably meet expenses such as tuition fees, books, uniforms, transportation, examination fees or other essential educational requirements.
Special consideration is given to students experiencing circumstances that create significant barriers to education. This may include orphaned students, children raised by a single parent, students with disabilities, or families affected by illness, loss of income, incapacity or other unforeseen hardships.
Students should demonstrate a genuine desire to continue their education and make productive use of the assistance provided. We value responsibility, regular attendance, perseverance and a willingness to work towards meaningful academic, professional and personal goals.
Academic marks are only one part of our assessment. We also consider a student's overall potential, positive attitude, leadership qualities, resilience and participation in sports, community service, cultural activities or other constructive pursuits. Difficult circumstances should not prevent talented and motivated students from receiving an opportunity.

Meeting one or more of the above criteria does not automatically guarantee financial or educational assistance. Applications may be reviewed based on individual circumstances, supporting documents, the nature of assistance requested and the resources available to Guru 99 Trust at the time of assessment. The Trust may request additional information or verification before approving support.
Guru 99 Trust communicates information about its student Donation and scholarship initiatives to government and government-aided schools, colleges and other educational institutions, primarily within the Mayiladuthurai district. Program details, eligibility requirements and application procedures are shared through official communication, institutional coordination, school visits and awareness initiatives.
Every application received is carefully reviewed against the eligibility criteria of the program. The review considers academic performance, economic background, family circumstances, educational needs and the information provided by the applicant. Eligible and shortlisted applications proceed to the verification stage.
Where appropriate, representatives of Guru 99 Trust may conduct home visits to better understand the applicant's circumstances and verify information submitted in the application. This process helps us understand the student's living conditions, family situation, financial challenges and actual need for educational assistance.
Shortlisted students and, where appropriate, their parents or guardians may be invited for a final interaction with our selection team. The discussion may take place in person, by telephone or virtually. It helps us understand the student's aspirations, attitude towards education, commitment and overall potential.
Following the overall assessment, eligible students may be selected for scholarship or educational assistance. Depending on the program, Donationmay include tuition fees, learning materials, uniforms, examination fees or other approved educational expenses. Selected students are informed and guided through the next steps.
